Warner Bros. Developing Harley Quinn Movie
Warner Bros.’ ain shared DC Comics universe continues amongst the upcoming Suicide Squad, but The Hollywood Reporter accept revealed only about intriguing details that plans are afoot to plough over what could really good endure the stand upwards out of that flick, Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn, her ain movie. But the kicker is that it won't endure a Harley centric spin-off, but instead focusing on several woman someone DC Comics’ heroes as well as villains, amongst Ms. Quinn getting involved inward the action. Robbie herself volition human activity every bit producer on the project, having proven to endure its driving strength afterwards falling inward dear amongst DC’s woman someone during a deep dive into Harley Quinn’s comic volume history to larn inward character. She brought inward a writer, unknown to us at this time, to help prepare the persuasion as well as acquaint it to the powers at endure at Warner Bros., who reportedly snapped it up.
With the huge dorsum catalogue of heroines as well as villainesses DC has, this actually feels similar a no brainer. Couple that amongst Harley Quinn’s insane popularity (especially amongst her re-invention every bit a wacky, 4th wall breaking Deadpool type character), you lot larn the feeling that this was e'er on the cards. The identity of what characters volition endure at play, too Harley of course, is unknown at this stage, but Batgirl (whose modify ego Barbara Gordon is played past times Jena Malone inward the Batman 5 Superman extended edition) as well as Katana, portrayed past times Karen Fukuhara inward Suicide Squad, experience similar distinct possibilities. So does Poison Ivy, Harley’s constitute controlling partner inward offense from the comics. Not having her seem volition endure a massive missed opportunity. There is a big conduct a chance this could plough out to endure a Birds of Prey movie, next a Gotham City based grouping of heroines led past times Batgirl (in her identity every bit the ultimate estimator hacker Oracle), or fifty-fifty a big shroud version of Gotham Sirens, which followed Quinn, Ivy, as well as Catwoman meeting every bit a team. Whatever happens, I’m actually interested to meet how this projection come upwards together.
